Trapeze solo

Sandy Sun’s first trapeze solo was based on a succession of high-level acrobatic figures and postures, respectful of the classical repertoire that had been transmitted to her or in which she inscribed herself.
The writing consisted of one exercise after another, but the order was harmonious from an acrobatic and choreographic point of view. There was already in that choreography what she was going to built later.
Through this succession of feats she created surprise and maintained the emotional attention of the audience. The suspense was reinforced by working at high heights, without safety devices.

This classic but already very innovative issue earned her in 1980 a Gold Medal at the Festival Mondial du Cirque de Demain (at the time «Bourses Louis Merlin»)
She introduced him to the greatest European circus.
