Contemporary trapeze dance solo

In her second act, Contemporary trapeze dance solo, Sandy Sun explores all the spatial possibilities of the apparatus: with the ropes, on the bar, under the bar. Her act is thought a continuous movement from beginning to end in a circular choreography.
Sandy Sun has always been interested in the circle, because you can’t hide any angle of your body. You cannot escape, you are totally exposed and surrounded by the public in a 360° constraint.

What Sandy Sun expresses in this new issue is not narrative, but small pieces of political, historical, erotic stories, feelings and thoughts.
Each image is very precisely worked, like sculpture in motion, kinetic works. She gave them titles: «Théâtre No», «Triangles».
Her movements came from the inside and she thus developed new figures and a new choreographic territory for the trapeze, bringing the foundations of a contemporary style around a traditional apparatus.
His act became a trapeze dance, a trapeze dance.

Winner in 1984 of the Fondation Marcel Bleustein-Blanchet pour la Vocation for this innovative issue, she has given it in many shows of contemporary circus and cabarets.
